Catherine Hamacher, AICP

Associate Director

Catherine brings her urban planning, strategic planning, and community engagement experience to the PGAV team.  A native St. Louisan, Catherine has worked for several organizations helping to improve efficiency and effectiveness through long-term planning, marketing, and community development. Prior to working at PGAV she worked at a small consulting firm in St. Louis, helping organizations plan for periods of transition. 

She has a Masters in Urban Planning and Real Estate Development from Saint Louis University, is a graduate of the Coro Fellows Program in Public Affairs, and received her undergraduate degree from Trinity University in San Antonio.

In addition to her work at PGAV, Catherine serves on several boards in the St. Louis area, helping to provide her expertise to community organizations.

FAVORITE CITY TO VISIT

As a planner, I LOVED visiting Copenhagen. There were just so many great aspects of quality urban planning — from well maintained infrastructure to wide open green spaces.

RECENT PROJECT

I recently led the Asheville, North Carolina Tourism Management & Investment Plan process, working with residents, business owners, and regional leadership to create a shared path forward.
