Downtown revitalization

The DREAM Initiative helped to re-establish the sense of place and cultural heritage in the historic heart of 39 Missouri communities over ten years.Using an extensive market analysis, community engagement process, and design component, PGAV created implementable, and results-oriented downtown strategic plans for communities such as Chilicothe, Missouri whose Silver Moon Plaza is pictured above.

COMPREHENSIVE PLANNING

Using innovative public engagement tools, including the web app Crowdbrite, PGAV assisted city residents in crafting a comprehensive plan that reflects their community’s aspirations. The well-received plan includes actionable goals and objectives covering transportation, urban design, infrastructure, parks and recreation, economic development, land use, and housing development goals.

CORRIDOR PLANNING

PGAV is assisting the City of Springfield in a retail study for the Kearney Street Corridor (formerly part of the original Route 66). The process includes an assessment of existing conditions, identification of trade areas and targeted retail. public engagement, a site prioritization plan, and a strategies and incentives plan for retail development. The work is expected to be completed by May 2017.
