Project Manager

PGAV Planners is seeking a creative, experienced Project Manager to join our team!  Project Managers are responsible for managing projects from start to finish, within determined schedules and budgets, including interacting with clients one-on-one, writing reports, and presenting at public meetings. 

The candidate can expect to work on comprehensive planning projects, corridor studies, community development projects, economic development plans, feasibility analyses, market analyses, development finance and tax revenue studies.  In addition, employees are encouraged to be creative and pursue work of interest. We encourage employees to get involved in community efforts of their choosing and, as a collaborative team member, help guide the direction of our group.

The selected candidate will be a well-organized self-starter who can manage large scale, long-term projects and ensure a quick turnaround on important short-term deadlines.  The candidate will also represent themselves and the firm well during client interactions, public presentations, and business development efforts.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

Educational and/or professional background in City & Regional Planning, Economics, Urban Planning, Public Policy, Public Administration, or related field and two to five years of relevant professional experience.

SKILLS

  • Knowledge of real estate development, community development, economic development, and urban planning principles.

  • Strategic, hard-working, and creative.

  • Strong analytical skills.

  • Strong writing and communications skills.

Business development Manager

We are looking for a self-starting individual to join us to help us communicate PGAV Planners’ brand, message, values, culture and portfolio of work in tailored proposals and marketing collateral across multiple market sectors.

 The ideal candidate is a team player who thrives in a fast-paced environment with determination, a sense of humor and a desire to win! This position fits a person who can effectively balance multiple projects simultaneously and produce visually compelling, well-written and technically accurate marketing collateral and professional proposals on tight schedules.

We expect the successful candidate to bring energy and passion for working with others and seeking continual improvement.

This is an in-person position in the St. Louis Office, though the employee would have work-from-home flexibility.

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Support all business development and marketing activities

  • Communicate with everyone on the PGAV Planners team to understand the work we do and our value proposition.

  • Research client and specific projects needs

  • Work with the team to conceive winning strategies and create winning statement of qualifications submittals and proposals with a high level of graphic refinement and technical accuracy under tight deadlines.

  • Manage multiple marketing and business development initiatives simultaneously including:

    • Helping the team prep for interviews

    • Crafting Award Submissions

    • Organizing participation in conferences and events

    • Preparation for conference and event presentations

    • Creation of collateral marketing materials

    • Building brand awareness and position in the community

    • Recognizing deficiencies in existing marketing campaigns and developing creative  solutions within the budget

    • Communicating regularly with the team about marketing initiatives and brainstorming fresh strategies

    • Develop and implement a social media strategy using all relevant platforms to reach our target audience and markets in collaboration with other team members

    • Assemble qualifications packages including communications with teams, tailored writing, assembly of content, production and delivery with upmost accuracy

    • Assist project teams with presentation materials as-needed

    • Managing and updating content to support PGAV Planners website

    • Update and maintain staff resumes and biographies

    • Work with Project Managers to update and maintain project information data base and proposal materials

    • Further developing strategic relationships and partnerships with our clients, key market leaders and community partners.

o   Attending networking events to increase PGAV’s presence in the community.

DESIRED EXPERIENCE / QUALIFICATIONS

Ideal candidates will have a bachelor’s degree in marketing, business, communications, journalism or related field or an urban planning, community development, or real estate development background that translates into exceptional written and visual communication skills. We are looking for a candidate with 3+ years of directly relevant marketing experience, including experience with the preparation of winning qualifications statements and competitive proposals.

Desired Skillsets include:

  • Excellent communication and decision-making skills

  • Proficiency in online marketing, including social media, and content marketing

  • Proven experience in identifying target audiences and in creatively devising and leading marketing campaigns and proposal responses that respond to specific client needs and engage, educate and motivate potential clients

  • Keen sense of proportion and graphic design

  • Ability to work quickly and adapt to change

  • Proficiency in working with metrics and processing figures with spreadsheets

  • Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills

  • Passion for custom communications, including proposals, project descriptions, and other collateral

  • Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite and Microsoft Office products

  • Strong organizational and management skills

  • Ability to engage with and coordinate team efforts

  • Effective and mature verbal and interpersonal communication skills

  • Ability and initiative to research and synthesize information quickly and share findings with others

  • Ability to execute proposal and other assignments under tight deadlines, independently or as part of a team

  • A detail-oriented work ethic

  • Exceedingly high expectations of oneself and others
